AUXILIARY CLUB OFFICERS
The auxiliary club officers, unlike the
executive club officers, don't govern the IDEA club. They are
adjunct officers and are considered indispensable insofar as
sustaining the existence of the IDEA club. Historians, treasurers, and
webmasters are traditional constituents of most student organizations.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS
The administrative assistants help the
executive club officers with their respective responsibilities. There is one
administrative assistant for each executive officer. Administrative
assistants may be given the authority to exercise some, if not all, of
the powers and duties of the executive officers when deemed necessary.
PLANNING COMMITTEE
This committee has
three coordinators that help the executive club officers organize
club meetings and events. The coordinators will work to
organize activities and events, according to the discretion of the
Secretary or the Executive Committee. The Special Events Coordinator will serve to
organize movie night events and guest lecturer meetings. The
Colloquium Events Coordinator will serve to organize debates,
seminars, and conferences. The Public Events Coordinator will serve to
organize events assessable to the public (e.g. field trips).
COMMITTEE OF CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM
This committee will be implemented once
the IDEA club attains 24 official members. The members of this committee will serve to bolster the intellectual
vigor of the IDEA club during discussion meetings and the like. As specified in the
bylaws, the students
in this committee may be elected by official members, or they may be
appointed by the Executive Committee.
CLUB ADVISERS
Advising:
Every registered student organization must have an adviser who is a
full-time member of the faculty or staff at U.T. Dallas. Ideally, the
adviser should have a common interest in the organization's purpose
and goals; be accessible for signature on official University forms;
and be willing to attend meetings and functions sponsored by the
organization. An adviser can provide continuity and stability to a
group whose officers and membership is continually changing. An
organization may have more than one adviser.
