“And (tell them that) I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may (know and) worship Me. [Qur'an 51:56]”
- Week 2 (25 Jan 2006) Flier
“And be constant in prayer, and spend in charity, and bow down in prayer with all who thus bow down. [Quran 2:43]”
- Week 3 (1 Feb 2006)
“Recite what is sent of the Book by inspiration to you, and establish regular Prayer: for Prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest without doubt. [Qur'an 29:45]”
- Week 4 (8 Feb 2006)
“O ye who believe! when ye prepare for prayer, wash your faces, and your hands (and arms) to the
elbows; Rub your heads (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If ye
are in a state of ceremonial impurity, bathe your whole body. But if ye
are ill, or on a journey, or one of you cometh from offices of nature, or ye
have been in contact with women, and ye find no water, then take for yourselves
clean sand or earth, and rub therewith your faces and hands, Allah doth
not wish to place you in a difficulty, but to make you clean, and to
complete his favour to you, that ye may be grateful. [Qur'an 5:6]”
- Week 5 (22 Feb 2006)
Thy Lord doth know that thou standest forth (to prayer) nigh two-thirds of the night, or half the night,
or a third of the night, and so doth a party of those with thee. But Allah doth appoint night and day in
due measure He knoweth that ye are unable to keep count thereof. So He hath turned to you (in mercy);
read ye, therefore, of the Qur'an as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some)
among you in ill-health; others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's bounty; yet others
fighting in Allah's Cause, read ye, therefore, as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you);
and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity; and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan.
And whatever good ye send forth for your souls ye shall find it in Allah's Presence,- yea,
better and greater, in Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah, for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [Qur'an 73:20]”
- Week 6 (1 Mar 2006)
“And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith);
to establish regular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight. [Qur'an 98:5]”
