About Iota: Our purpose and objectives

The members of the Phi Theta Kappa International Alumni Association, Iota of Texas Chapter, at The University of Texas at Dallas, associate ourselves to:

Reaffirm the ideals of Phi Theta Kappa --

• The promotion of scholorship, leadership, service and the cultivation of friendship.
• A lifelong committment to execellence.

Provide a continuing fellowship of former Phi Theta Kappa members to provide a smooth transition to university life for community, technical, and junior college Phi Theta Kappa transfer students.

Provide a support base and to encourage members to unceasingly pursue excellence.

Establish a scholarship fund for distinguished transfer students who are active members of a Phi Theta Kappa chapter.

Recognize and encourage scholarship and leadership among University and community alumni.

We would like to make your transfer to UTD as easy as possible for you.

If you were a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the International Honor Society for two-year colleges, come check us out. We are Iota, the alumni chapter here at UTD. I know what you are thinking: "I don't have time" . . . . right? We realize at the community/technical college level you were expected to participate in numerous activities. Here at Iota, we just want to make you feel at home and have a good time with no required activities. We are here for you. Let Iota make your transfer to the University of Texas at Dallas a pleasurable one. We are looking forward to meeting you!
