About PSA
The Pakistani
Student Association exists as an organization at UTD
to address issues pertaining to the Pakistani community -
both students and faculty - while at the same time informing
and entertaining the entire community both on and off campus
about the Pakistani nation, it's peoples, politics, heritage
and culture.
The Pakistani
Student Association is a group of dedicated students involved in
raising awareness on campus about Pakistan as a nation. The
rise of the PSA has coincided with a rise in global awareness
of South Asia as well as an increasing debate over the problems
facing the area as well as possible solutions to those problems.
PSA is committed to expand its horizons by engaging in active
participation in the Pakistani community. In this regard,
acquiring the support of our community is of fundamental importance
for us. PSA intends to diversify its membership by reaching
out to the Pakistani community and familiarizing them with
the organization and its goals and objectives. At UTD, PSA
promotes discussion on topics of national and international
areas of interest amongst its members as well as members of
other organizations.
Our goal
is to educate, inform and also to entertain the students at
UTD. Thus, we have also sought to give students
a glimpse into the culture, norms, values and traditions which
define us as a young, unique and rising people.
