The U.T.D. Chapter of Sigma Xi

Founded in 1886 at Cornell University, Sigma Xi is a membership society of approximately 95,000 scientists and engineers, with more than 500 chapters and clubs at colleges and universities, government laboratories, and industry research centers. Its missions are to honor scientific accomplishments, to encourage and enhance the worldwide appreciation and support of original investigation in science and technology, and to foster worldwide a creative and dynamic interaction among science, technology, and society.
