Mission
Stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, demonstrate the value of diversity.
Why Women? Why Engineers?
When SWE was founded in 1952, there were few professional (or studying) women engineers in society. Although the organization's primary emphasis is to encourage women in the field of engineering, men and non-engineering majors of any collegiate level are also cordially welcomed as members.
