GEMS/Student Success
A One-Stop Center for Academic Enhancement
Centrally located within the UTD Conference Center, the GEMS Center offers a wide spectrum of services to students, faculty and staff--all aimed at improving educational outcomes. Included in our resources are:
- 2 dedicated, combinable classrooms (CN 1.202 and 1.204) for Peer-Led Team Learning (PLTL), Supplemental Instruction (SI) and other GEMS-related courses, workshops and meeting sessions
- GEMS Lab

- 42-seat proctored computer lab, supporting science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) learning through technology
- Math Lab offering a full array of mathematics support strategies through peer and professional tutors
- 2 modular offices for faculty and TA use in delivering small group and individualized instruction and tutoring
- Writing Center (CN 1.302) offering assistance at any stage of the writing process: topic formation, outline, drafting, revision, etc.
