A Changed Campus

Students and staffers will return from winter break to a changed campus, as UT Dallas ramps up its plans to build new education facilities and overhaul some existing ones.

The time between semesters will give construction crews the freedom to handle a few otherwise-disruptive projects.

In some cases, the changes will require students, faculty and staff members to take new roads and walkways to get around campus. More >

Historic Campus Enhancement Project

Students, faculty, staff and city leaders were on hand Thursday afternoon to celebrate the groundbreaking of an historic campus enhancement project aimed at making the University more welcoming and user-friendly.

The year-long project — which involves the overhaul of the perimeter and entrance roads to campus, as well as the central plaza, where the major north-south and east-west pedestrian routes meet — is expected to be carried out in four phases and completed by late fall 2009. More >

“Extreme Makeover: Campus Edition”

Just call it “Extreme Makeover: Campus Edition”. The first wave in a series of major campus construction projects is already under way, with improvements expected to overhaul the look and feel of the UT Dallas campus this year and beyond. More >

Residence Hall Groundbreaking

Students, faculty, staff and the general public are invited to join in the groundbreaking ceremony for UT Dallas’ very first freshman living learning residence hall and new dining facility at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16. More >
