How to Ride
Comet Cabs, a complimentary shuttle service, operate Monday through Friday. We currently operate on a continuous loop, featuring three routes:
The E-Parking Route, which runs from the walkway between the remote E-Parking areas of parking Lots A and B*, travels southwest through Parking Lot G outside McDermott Library (MC)*, continues south to the McDermott Library walkway*, then further south to the intersection of Drive G & A*, which serves the Naveen Jindal School of Management (JSOM). The route then continues northeast around the perimeter of Parking Lots D and C before returning to E-Parking to begin the circuit again.
The E-Parking Route currently operates: . Monday - Thursday, 10:00am-10:00pm; Friday, 10am-2pm
The Residence Hall Route, which runs from the Residence Hall North Lot*, serving both RHW & RHN* along with Parking Lot T*, travels east on Loop Rd, and continues south down Rutford Ave., serving all University Buildings along Rutford Ave*. The route then continues east onto Drive A and ends at the Activity Center north road inlet near the Activity Center (AB)* and the Student Services Building (SSB)* and also has drop off near the northwest entrance to JSOM before returning on the same route.
The Residence Hall Route currently operates: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-10:00pm
The University Village to JSOM Route, which runs through the residential parking lot of University Village Apartments Phase 1* serving both Phases 1 & 2*, continues east along Drive A serving the southwest corner of Phase 5* and Parking Lot I*. The route then continues east along Drive A and ends at the Activity Center north road inlet near the Activity Center (AB)* and the Student Services Building (SSB)* and also has drop off near the northwest entrance to JSOM before returning on the same route.
The University Village to JSOM Route currently operates: Monday - Friday, 10:00am-10:00pm
The service operates as a convenience to the campus community and not as a regularly scheduled mode of transportation. Unlike the 883 Comet Cruiser bus service, Comet Cabs may be waved down to stop and pick up or drop off passengers anywhere along its circuit. Hours of operation may vary depending on the University Calendar and may include reduced service while classes are not in session. Please check our website frequently for updates.
