The UT Dallas Pep Band performs at a variety of functions throughout the school year. Recent performances include Scholars Day, chess tournaments, basketball games, and the Homecoming Parade.

Since a minor in music can be earned at UT Dallas with a minimum of 18 credit hours, participation in the Pep Band can benefit any student who wants to pursue that academic route.
The Pep Band meets Thursdays, 7-8 p.m. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to play. This is a one credit course for students.
About the Director
Lori Gerard is an active freelance percussionist in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She has performed at several leading national jazz festivals and was an MTNA National Concerto Competition Finalist. As a member of the multi-faceted Robert Hohner Percussion Ensemble, she has recorded for the Sony/DMP label.
Ms. Gerard holds a bachelor's degree in music from Central Michigan University and a master of music in percussion performance from Southern Methodist University. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in humanities at UT Dallas, where her work focuses on continuities between literature, music and culture in nineteenth-century central Europe.
