The Undergraduate Academic Advising Office in the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics plays a major role in your educational and professional advancement. Here, you can receive academic advice and assistance in registering for classes each semester.
New or transfer students
Meeting with your advisor each semester before registering will be a great benefit when it comes to plotting course work for your specific educational goals. It is valuable to know that you are meeting the requirements for your degree on a timely basis. Should you fall behind in grades and be placed on academic probation or drop status, after being readmitted, your advisor can help you get back on the right track.
You must see your advisor prior to registration. Your advisor will discuss your course requirements, help you develop your degree plan, which consists of all the courses needed to obtain your degree, and register you for classes.
All returning physics students have a hold on their registration and need to have their schedule approved by their advisor prior to registration.
