ADVISOR SEMINAR SUMMARY:

The annual Advisor Seminar was conducted at the Houston Police Academy during 07-11 October. Thirty-five police officers and two criminal justice teachers attended the seminar. The seminar was a great success and much of the credit goes to Houston Police Officers Erica Fuentes and Chuck Walding, the host agency coordinators for the seminar. Seminar participants received comprehensive training concerning Law Enforcement Exploring and engaged in lively discussions where ideas and opinions on Explorer Post operations were shared.

The TLEEAA Board of Officers wishes to thank the Houston Police Department for the use of its impressive academy facilities for the seminar. A special thanks goes to all the presenters whom gave of their time to assist with the seminar.

Next year's Advisor Seminar will be held in the Dallas area sometime in October 2003. It is anticipated the location for the Advisor Seminar will alternate each year between Dallas and Houston.
