The Power Dancers provide a great source of school spirit to UTD. We also provide an opportunity for one to exert initiative, leadership, and creativity.
Who Are We?
Power Dancers are the official dance team of The University of Texas at Dallas. We perform for varsity basketball games and make special appearances on campus throughout the school year.
Our specialty is hip-hop, but we also perform jazz, pom and a variety of other dance styles.
How Much Time Is Required?
Practices in the fall are 2 evenings per week. They are mandatory and will be held every Mon/Wed from 8 pm - 10:30 pm (days and times subject to change each semester).
We perform at various athletic events, so it is necessary to have a fairly flexible schedule. Additional practices may be expected before special events and/or performances.
