Pre-Health Program

Pre-Health at UT Dallas
As with most universities, pre-health at UT Dallas is not a major but a focus available to students of all majors. Pre-health students at UT Dallas are those preparing for health professional schools: medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and so on.

Students work with pre-health advisors to craft a clearly reasoned, comprehensive, and effective plan to develop science knowledge, analytical skills, communication, and social awareness.

Post-Baccalaureate Students
Post-Baccalaureate students have already earned a degree. They are not required to earn another degree, but instead take courses to round out their educations before applying to professional schools.

Live to Serve!

Health professions are about helping others, and pre-health students volunteer for fun and experience. Many will also learn hands-on by shadowing professionals, performing research, or holding a job in their desired field.

HPAC strongly encourages all pre-health students to seek out volunteer, work, and research opportunities continuously while at UT Dallas. Student groups and the UT Dallas Career Center are excellent resources to find hands-on learning opportunities.

Get Involved!

Student Organizations help pre-health students to study, find volunteer opportunities, build social and professional networks, and have fun.
