Pre-Law Advising and Resource Center

The John Marshall Pre-Law Society

The John Marshall Pre-Law Society is the student prelaw group at UTD. The purpose of the society is to promote the understanding of the legal profession, the law, and government operation; to assist its members in the processes of entering the legal profession; and to recognize and encourage scholarship and leadership among UT Dallas pre-law students.

JMPLS meets throughout the semester for networking events, and visits from speakers like Admissions Deans, local legal professionals and UTD lawyer alumni. They also host an end of semester party and Final Exam Cram, where students can study together.

Students can join the John Marshall Pre-Law Society by going to the JMPLS website (link found below) and clicking "Membership." One-time dues of $20 include a free Pre-Law shirt, and can be paid at the Pre-Law Advising Office in Founders 2.202.
