Pre-Law Resources

• Our Pre-Law Society and regularly brings in speakers and schedules events educational for and helpful to pre-law students
• Moot Court, Mediation, Debate and Mock Trial teams – compete throughout the country against other college teams
• Personality and interest assessments and career counseling through the Career Center
• Internship opportunities at the Collin County District Attorney, Center for American and International Law and various local law firms; Archer Fellowship in Washington, D.C.
• Legal Studies Lecture Series and interesting speakers from all facets of the legal profession
• A course in Legal Reasoning which includes not only topics designed to develop the critical thinking skills necessary for success in law school and in the practice of law but also an extensive preparation regimen for the LSAT
• Writing Labs offered through the UT Dallas Office for Student Success and Achievement (GEMS Center)
• Resume workshops through the Career Center
• Networking opportunities with UTD alumni in the legal profession
• Application preparation workshops led by a former law school admissions officer
• Pre-Law Resource Area in Founders 2.704 with LSAT prep books, application information and many other resources
