Contracts Guidelines

The University of Texas at Dallas must abide by University of Texas at Dallas and University of Texas System policies when making purchases and entering into other contractual obligations for UT Dallas. While purchasing authority has been delegated to many individuals, very few are authorized by the University President to sign or otherwise enter into contracts on behalf of UT Dallas. Only the University President has the power to assign that authorization, and it is different than the authority to make purchases on behalf of the University. Agreements or contracts unsigned by authorized individuals will be deemed either invalid or a personal responsibility.
