Club Sports

Rugby - Club Sports at UT Dallas

The Club Sports Program consists of recognized student organizations whose goals are to promote and develop common sports or recreation related interests. Each club sport has been formed, organized, managed and maintained by student leaders at UT Dallas.

Recreational Sports is here to provide encouragement, guidance and general supervision for the affiliated clubs, but the emphasis is on student leadership to initiate, organize, operate and participate.

Archery

The UT Dallas Archery Club's focus is to get students into archery. Membership in the club provides range use and equipment. Personal equipment is welcome. Meeting schedules will be adjusted to members' new class schedules. The first two Mondays of each semester will be an open house event available to all college students (valid school ID required). These events are free and are focused on teaching people to start shooting a bow.

Fencing is a co-ed club for the instruction and practice of sword-play with each of the three sport weapons: foil, epee and saber. All skill levels are welcome, and absolutely no experience is necessary. Just come ready to have fun and learn a lot!

Recreation Club dues are $30/Semester or $50/Academic Year
Team Club dues are $60/Academic Year and 8 hours of tennis related volunteer hours.
New players can bring their comet card to a practice, and try out the club for free once.
In order to participate in club practices, you must have this form filled out!

Club Sports Council

The Club Sports Council is comprised of student leaders that represent both the Club Sports Program and the department of Recreational Sports. The purpose of the council is to serve as an advisory board for the Assistant Director of Competitive Sports on general club and program issues.

Council duties include promoting the overall Club Sports Program, reviewing policies and procedures, serving as a disciplinary board when needed, monitoring budget hearings, and serving as the sounding board for all clubs within the Club Sports Program.
