Mission

The Center for Integrated Circuits and Systems (CICS) is located on the campus of the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, Texas, U.S.A. It was established in September 1999 to bring together people working in the general area of integrated circuits and systems. CICS is dedicated to conduct collaborative research and develop excellence in integrated circuits and systems design. The CICS goals are:

  • To develop outstanding faculty and graduate research in the following areas related to circuits and systems:
    • Digital and mixed-signal IC design.
    • Multimedia, DSP and telecom circuits and systems.
    • CAD algorithms.
    • Fault tolerant Systems Design
    • Computer and Special-Purpose Processor Architecture
  • To promote collaboration among its members and their graduate students and between members and other research groups on campus and other universities.
  • To foster a strong industry university partnership to advance the state-of-the-art in integrated circuits and systems.
  • To teach and provide support for courses in circuits and systems.
