The Center for
Translation Studies at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) was founded
in 1980. An integral part of the School of Arts and Humanities, the Center's
activities provide an innovative foundation for the study of literature
and the humanities. Faculty associated with the Center teach literary
translation workshops and seminars on world literature, with an emphasis
on the contemporary international scene. Students may pursue both M.A.
and Ph.D. work in translation within the context of the interdisciplinary
humanities program of the School.
