Publications
The Center for Translation Studies offers three different publications: Translation Review; Annotated Books Received; and Translation Studies Journals.
Translation Review
The Center for Translation Studies promotes and disseminates innovative scholarly and critical work about the practice and theory of literary translation through the publication of Translation Review. The review focuses on:
- the visibility of the literary translator through interviews with translators
- the reconstruction of the translation process
- translation as cross-cultural communication
- the anthropological dimensions of translation
- the history of translation
- the critical and scholarly investigation of translation
- the evaluation of translations
- translation as a creative act
Annotated Books Received
Annotated Books Received (ABR) provides brief annotations of recently published translations from all languages. ABR is a supplemental publication of Translation Review. The Center holds the complete run of both publications, a valuable archive for scholars and students of translation.
Translation Studies Journals
The Center maintains a list of journals and magazines that publish translations of original works and articles and essays on the art and craft of translation.
