Classical
Pianist Ana Cervantes Crosses Borders
With Unique Style and Program Selections
Will
Perform in Concert at U. T. Dallas on Oct. 4

RICHARDSON,
Texas (Sept. 19, 2003) Classical pianist Ana Cervantes, hailed
by one critic Peter Spencer of the Newark Star-Ledger
as "a physical, emotional pianist
with extraordinary touch,"
will give a concert Saturday, Oct. 4, at 8 p.m., in the Jonsson Performance
Hall (JO 2.604) at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).
The daughter
of a Mexican father and a mother from Nebraska, Cervantes gives
evidence in every one of her performances of her special ability
to serve as an interlocutor between cultures.

4 event are $10 for general admission, $5 for students and free at the
door to UTD students with a valid identification. UTD ticket office hours

About Ana Cervantes
Cervantes has taught on the artist faculties of Princeton University,
Westminster Conservatory of Rider University and on the adjunct Fine Arts
faculty of The Peddie School of New Jersey, as well as in the School of
Music of the University of Guanajuato, México, where she directed
the Chamber Music Workshop. Currently she collaborates on university projects,
both musical and academic, with compositor Ramón Montes de Oca,
director of the Contemporary Music Cycle of the Festival Internacional
Cervantino, and serves as advisor to the State Institute of Culture of
Guanajuato.
