Training

Undergraduate Certificate in Information Assurance
In response to a growing industry demand for highly skilled workers trained in security and data protection, the Computer Science Department in the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas is offering certificate in the field of information assurance.  It is intended for those individuals who are working in the industry and who already have background equivalent to a BS-CS degree.  It also is awarded to UT Dallas CS and SE students that complete the required classes, as well as students that complete the Minor in Information Assurance.

On-Site E-Plan Training Program

The E-Plan trainers have conducted on-site E-Plan training to train trainers who in turn will train front-line personnel to use E-Plan for quick, reliable, online and comprehensive access to response-related data such as Tier II data, Risk Management Plans, Chemical Databases, MSDS, maps, and Emergency Contact information of personnel directly responsible.

Online E-Plan Training

The Emergency Preparedness Center (EPC) designed, developed and implemented the web-based training module, which allows new E-Plan users to learn how to use E-Plan in a simple, step-by-step manner at their own pace on their own computer. The training module provides a series of screen shots and explanatory text that demonstrates how the new user can register online and the various capabilities of the E-Plan system in parallel with the actual online Demo Site. The E-Plan system is easy to use so that training should take no more than one hour and often less time than that.

To take the online training, go to https://erplan.net  and click on the E-Plan Online Training button.
