Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC)

  • 'Lonestar' cluster; 2 Hex-core Xeon 5680 processors, 45 TB RAM, 302 TFlops, 276 TB disk
  • 'Stampede'; two 8-core Xeon E5 processors, one 61-core Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor and one NVIDIA Kepler GPU per node, Over 270 terabytes of RAM,10 PFlops, 14 PB Global and 1.6 PB Local disk space

These are all networked. The local campus net is all fiber optics. All the machines are directly accessible from any terminal or workstation.

  • Total of 192 cores, 768 GB RAM

  • Access to 17.8 TB of disk

PC cluster with 9 nodes (32 processors) (all duo-core, duo-processor)

  • Network of 9 workstations
    • Dell T410 (8) and T710 (1): 9 nodes with 2TB local staging disk
