Office of Research Development

The Office of Research Development (ORD) provides a broad range of services and resources related to funding and grantsmanship and works with faculty to develop research and education proposals.

Some ways we can assist include:

• Proposal Language: Templates available.
• Events: The events page provides information on workshops and events including dates, times, and registration information (when applicable).
• Funding: The funding page provides information on external funding opportunities. Links to helpful funding search tools and e-mail alerts can also be found here.
• Limited Submissions: Go here for details on internal competitions including deadlines, templates, and submission guidelines.
• Proposal Preparation: ORD staff can provide assistance with both large and small proposals.

Tech On Tap. No reservations required, no admittance or fee, bring your curiosity and an open mind! UT Dallas sponsors Tech On Tap as an outreach opportunity for interested members of the community to come hear the leading experts in a variety of fields discuss their programs in the non-stuffy atmosphere of a pub.

Drinks are on you. Knowledge is on us. Generally a 20-30 minute presentation followed by chitchat and conversation, the attendees may enjoy dinner and hoist a beer or two without upsetting the presenter!

OSP Training. The Office of Research is dedicated to providing faculty and staff guidance on the essentials of Research Administration. This series will take faculty and staff through the essential components of sponsored projects and the steps needed to administer research at UTD - from finding funding opportunities to closing out grant accounts.
