To enable UTD researchers to effectively monitor their laboratories' compliance status, The University of Texas at Dallas has implemented an integrated laboratory safety and compliance system called BioRAFT. The BioRAFT system centralizes safety and compliance activities, including safety training, laboratory inspections, hazardous chemical usage and research equipment tracking.
All lab safety training courses are accessible through the BioRAFT system. A NetID and registration with a UTD research laboratory is required for access. If you are visiting a campus lab or do not have a NetID, please contact us at labsafetysupport@utdallas.edu.
In order for you to access lab information, you will need to be registered with a UTD laboratory. A Principal or lab delegate may add you to a lab, or you can self-register. If you have been added by your PI or lab delegate, you will receive an email notification inviting you into the system. Once you have been associated with a lab, you will have access to lab information and training materials.
To self-register:
If you have any questions or difficulties, please send an email to labsafetysupport@utdallas.edu.
Training courses are associated with the hazards and functions within each lab. As a member of a lab you will be required to complete the training courses relevant to your activities in the lab.
Courses will be either delivered online or live. Online courses can be accessed immediately and completed at your own pace. Live courses will need to be scheduled in the system.
Please complete the required courses as soon as possible. If you have any questions or difficulties with accessing training courses, please send an email to labsafetysupport@utdallas.edu.
