Summer 2008 - Spring 2010. Rawya graduated in Spring 2009 with a Dean's Award for Excellence and volunteerined in our laboratory after graduating. She will be attending graduate school in Clinical Psychology to work with both young children and adults with mental health issues. |

Melinda Archacki, B.A.

Melinda transferred from Collin College where she graduated with her Associates of Art, Magna Cum Laude. She graduated with a double major in Child Learning and Development as well as Psychology. She is also earning her Teaching Certificate for grades 4-8. A mother of two college-age girls, Melinda's experience with children also includes eleven years of teaching typical and exceptional children. She has also volunteered extensively as a coach, with the Girl Scouts, with the Children's Program through the PTA, and with Angel League. She will pursue graduate studies in Clinical or Developmental Psychology. |

Spring 2008. Dewayne graduated from UTD Magna Cum Laude with the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in Psychology. He has worked with typical and special needs children for over seven years in private and public settings in the U.S., Switzerland, and France. He is currently enrolled in a doctoral program. |

Fall 2005 - Spring 2007. Annette, from Corpus Cristi, was one of the founding members of the Think Lab and did her senior thesis with the lab: "Preschoolers Use Different Levels of Punishment to Rate the Severity of Lies and True Statements." After graduation, she completed an MBA program. |

Charee Fontenette, B.S.
Graduate Student in the Masters Program for Psychological Science
Fall 2009. Charee earned a bachelors of science degree in Psychology with a minor in Performing Arts from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in December 2007. During her undergraduate career as a McNair scholar, she conducted a research study on "Race and Gender Differences in Interpersonal Relationships." During her career in the Masters program she hopes to gain experience in cognitive research and eventually pursue a Ph.D. |

Fall 2006 - Fall 2007. Urvashi recently moved to Texas from Mumbai, India where she got her B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Mumbai. Urvashi aspires to be a clinical psychologist working towards the rehabilitation of disabled children. |

Fernando Garcia

Summer 2010 - Fall 2010. Fernando is a senior double majoring in psychology and child learning development. He is also working on his teacher certification for EC-6. He has three younger brothers and stays very involved with each of them. He has worked as a tutor and mentor with CISDR (Communities in Schools Dallas Region) and currently works as a tutor for AVID where he works with 9th and 10th graders. After graduating, Fernando hopes to become an elementary school math teacher and plans on going to graduate school to study either Developmental Psychology or Educational Psychology. |

Spring 2011. Jean is majoring in Neuroscience. She is the oldest out of four girls and one of thirty seven cousins in her family so she has had plenty of experience growing up with them as well as taking care of the little ones. She is currently a Sunday school teacher and the Youth Director at her church. She hopes to attend medical school after graduating to become a missionary doctor. |

She has a large family and has many experiences interacting, teaching, and raising children of all ages. She finds working with children rewarding and has plans to incorporate these interactions in her future career plans. Clarissa will pursue graduate school as a Clinical Psychologist specializing in marriage and family counseling. |

Fall 2005 - December 2006. Alexis was another founding member of the Think Lab. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and her Master's Degree in Human Development and Early Childhood Disorders at UTD. She is now in Toronto pursuing speech pathology training (2010). |

Caroline Mejias, B.A.

Summer 2007 - Summer 2008. Caroline begin her undergraduate education at the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley College in Fine Arts and graduated in 2008 with both school and university honors. She wrote a senior thesis examining the relationship between self-theories of intelligence, confidence, and trait hope and their effects on resiliency. In 2009 she began work as a researcher with Dr. Margaret Owen at UTD. |

Fall 2009 - Spring 2010. Rosa graduated in 2010 with her bachelor's degree in Psychology. She is the eldest of her two brothers and sister, and her experience working with children comes from growing up with a large family and relatives. Her activies, aside from classes, include reading, swimming, and staying involved in academic and service oriented organizations. She hopes to continue her education in graduate school studying Counseling Psychology.

Fall 2010 - Summer 2011. Erik recently graduated from UTD with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a B.A. in Psychology. He is now working towards earning two Master's degrees concurrently: a M.S. in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience and a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering. Once he has earned these two degrees, Erik plans on applying to Ph.D. programs either in Neuroscience and/or Bioengineering. |
