Q: What is the relationship between Texas Schools Project and The University of Texas at Dallas Education Research Center?
A: Texas Schools Project was founded in 1992 and, in 1997 moved to The University of Texas at Dallas. In 2006, it was officially designated as a State of Texas Education Research Center.
While both Texas Schools Project and The University of Texas at Dallas Education Research Center are operated from the same facility by the same staff, each has a unique purpose. The Education Research Center is a data warehouse and also facilitates researcher requests for such data.
Texas Schools Project is an independent education policy research center focused on high-quality academic research and program evaluations. Texas Schools Project is also responsible for the administrative functions of the Education Research Center.
