Texas Schools Project is working with Dr. Richard Scotch, Professor at University of Texas at Dallas, Educational First Steps (EFS), and Dallas Independent School District to assess the impact of EFS on studentsí success using measures of academic achievement and school progress.

Technical Assistance for DATE (District Awards for Teacher Excellence)
Texas Schools Project is working with the Institute for Public School Initiatives (IPSI) to provide technical assistance for districts who have been awarded DATE grants.
Texas Schools Project is providing guidance to districts about the design of value-added measures for teacher effectiveness as well as analysis of current district practices for grant awards.

Laying the Foundation
Texas Schools Project has been engaged to analyze the effectiveness of Pre-AP teacher training provided by Laying the Foundation (LTF). The evaluation will focus on two primary areas: The affect of LTF teacher training on studentsí general academic performance and the affect of LTF teacher training on studentsí AP test scores and/or test taking behavior.
