As the first Vice President for Research and Economic Development at this University, I have been given the exciting, enormous and arduous task of enhancing UTD’s research profile. This means not only following but anticipating new technology, potential collaboration partners and research opportunities.

Fortunately, UTD has an amazing faculty doing incredible research. In fact, the university has gained a national/international reputation in exciting and cutting-edge research areas such as audiology, brain health, computer science, digital forensics and cybercrime prevention, management, nanotechnology, sickle-cell disease research, space science and telecommunications. Our reputation only improves with our collaborative work with research universities/institutes in Korea, China, India, Russia, Great Britain and Mexico.
