Favorite thing about teaching Rhetoric 1101: I love being immersed in the amazing energy and excitement of UT Dallas’ freshmen students during our class time each week.
The biggest lesson I learned as a freshman: Class attendance really is important!
My favorite thing about UT Dallas: Despite being known as a “techie” school with super smart students, UT Dallas has a very friendly atmosphere and diverse student population. Our students seem to quickly and easily feel at home here.
My hobbies: Traveling, rock-collecting, reading, writing and scrounging through antique and thrift stores.
One book I think everyone should read is: Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Even if you’ve seen the movies, read the books. They are true works of art.
Something that people may not know about me: I wear hats all the time. Why? You’ll find out when you take the Know Your Instructor quiz in my Rhetoric 1101 class!
