List some of your hobbies.
Reading novels and playing sports.

Something that people may not know about me.
Not something really unique, but I was really shy coming to college, but since then I have tried to be more outgoing by meeting new people. I also love bubble tea almost to the point of obsession!

Why did you decide to become a First-Year Leader?
I wanted to give something back to UT Dallas. I thought that one way to show my appreciation for the school is to help out the incoming freshmen get acclimated to the college environment. Furthermore, I have always enjoyed helping out others.

What advice do you have for the freshmen class coming into UT Dallas?
It’s all about time management in college. Balancing time between your academic and social life is a challenge. You really have set your priorities straight. Also, be sure not to overload yourself with too many classes or difficult classes.

What do you wish you did during your freshmen year that you didn’t?
I wish I got to know my professors starting my freshman year. And looking back, I wish I was more involved with student organizations during my freshman year.

What do you like about UT Dallas?
It has a small school feel where you can see familiar faces around campus and have the opportunity to make close friends.

Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
I initially wanted to be an electrical engineer, and I heard UT Dallas offered a pretty strong program. Furthermore, I received scholarship money to attend here, which is always a bonus.

What has been your favorite/best UT Dallas experience so far?
My favorite experience in college is being with my friends as we study for exams and celebrate after taking them.

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?
For me personally, it’s been harder to make friends in college.

What do you like to do to unwind after class?
I like to hang out with friends or go to the Student Union to play some pool.

Other information you’d like to contribute:
To the incoming freshmen: study hard but also have fun in college. College is so much more than just classes. Academics are important, but it isn’t the only thing you should focus on.
