Why did you decide to become a First-Year Leader?
When I was a freshman at UT Dallas, I remember how great it was to have an older student there to encourage me through the transition, give me tips about the school, advise me about which professors to take, etc. I want to be able to offer that to other students, and I thought the FYL program would be the perfect opportunity.

What advice do you have for the freshmen class coming into UT Dallas?
Get involved on campus and meet new people!

What do you wish you did during your freshmen year that you didn’t?
The reason I would advise freshmen to get involved on campus is because it enhances your college experience immensely, and I wish I would have done so as a freshman.

What do you like about UT Dallas?
Besides the Chipotle Ranch Burger at the PUB? The incredible diversity of the student body!

Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
The location, academic rigor and price of the school.

What has been your favorite/best UT Dallas experience so far?
Playing Whirly Ball in Plano then Broomball at the Galleria with the UT Dallas Road Warriors (they agreed to keep the rink open later than usual just for us)!

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?
There’s no dress code!

What do you like to do to unwind after class?
Play pool at the Student Union.
