What do you like about living on campus?
I really enjoy living on campus. It’s nice to have the freedom of living on my own time and responsibility as well as getting to know the habits of other people and building new friendships.

List some clubs or organizations you are involved in at UT Dallas.
Terry Scholars and UTD Tennis

List some of your hobbies.
Tennis among other sports, listening to music, reading and shopping.

Why did you decide to become a First-Year Leader?
The RHET 1101 class would not be the same without the older student mentor that freshmen can come to with issues everyone faces when starting college. First Year Leaders really can make a difference in students’ lives as freshmen will look to upperclassmen for advice on everything from school to life as a whole.

What advice do you have for the freshman class coming into UT Dallas?
Use your time wisely. Study hard but also find time to open up to new experiences and friends because these are the years you will define yourself as a person.

What do you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?
Despite the fact that I made new friends, I still wish I would have engaged in more social activities. I took the opportunity to open myself up to different people and environments my sophomore year and realized how much I missed my first year in college.

What do you like about UT Dallas?
I really appreciate the diversity and preservation of academics though each student is talented in their own way whether it be sports or chess.

Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
When I first enrolled at UT Dallas, I still was not sure why I had decided to attend school here. I had always imagined myself at a university far away from Dallas that I had called home for twelve years. Before I knew it I was starting my first day of college and I was automatically sucked into UT Dallas’s bubble. It was different from the outside world; so diverse and the people are so friendly. I was also amazed that every single person I met was extremely intelligent in their own way and each person had a story to tell. For me, it was very easy to adjust.

What has been your favorite or best UT Dallas experience so far?
I have had so much fun playing on the university tennis team. I met some of my current close friends and had the opportunity to play a university sport, that of which I thought I would never do.

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?
It’s easy to lose track of time and money if you do not budget wisely.

What do you like to do to unwind after class?
Eat and workout. =)
