Why did you decide to become a First-Year Leader?
One day I hope to become a teacher. I saw this as an opportunity to become a mentor. I guess it’s a stepping stone for me too. I want the freshmen to have a great experience at UTD so that one day UTD may grow to be a top school in Texas.
What advice do you have for the freshman class coming into UT Dallas?
College isn’t as scary as some of your high school teachers probably said it is. Work hard, play hard.
What do you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?
I wish I was more involved in school organizations. I didn’t become involved in orgs until the second semester of my sophomore year.
What do you like about UT Dallas?
The size of the campus, I wake up 15 minutes before my first class and still get to class on time while still completing my morning activities.
What has been your favorite or best UT Dallas experience so far?
Becoming a member of Lambda Phi Epsilon.
What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?
I thought college would be more about the education that I was about to receive. It’s not. It’s more about learning from the life experiences that have come my way.
What do you like to do to unwind after class?
Work out. Sleep. Chill with some friends.
