Why did you decide to become a First-Year Leader?
After experiencing a great year with freshmen in my first year as a Peer Advisor, I realized I love to be involved and be able to assist as many freshmen as I can during their college careers at UT Dallas.

What advice do you have for the freshmen class coming into UT Dallas?
Study and have fun: college is a lifetime experience that you should enjoy, because later on in life, you can’t get these times back.

What do you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?
Get better grades!

What do you like about UT Dallas?
I love how small it is and how you can be noticed by faculty as long as you approach them. I love the diversity of this place, and how I’ve had the chance to learn about new cultures. I love my friends here because they are all smart, competitive, open and motivating people.

Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
After coming here for orientation and visiting other schools like UT and A&M, I realized this school’s atmosphere fit my needs with its compactness, and the people here who make this place great!

What has been your favorite/best UT Dallas experience so far?
The experience I enjoy the most at UT Dallas is being a Peer Advisor — it is just a blast all the time.

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?
There’s no mom here to cook meals for you or to pick up after you!

What do you like to do to unwind after class?
Play my guitar, listen to music, be with my friends, draw, eat … the list goes on!
