Do you live on campus? What do you like about it?
I live on campus. I love not having someone watch my every move. I can come and go as I please!

List some clubs or organizations you are involved in at UT Dallas. Alpha Epsilon Delta is national pre-health honor society. I have been involved with this organization since freshman year.

List some clubs or organizations you are involved in outside of school.
I love volunteering. I like people watching. I also like to watch Friends reruns.

Something that people may not know about me. I enjoy an intelligent pick-up line!

Why did you decide to become a First-Year Leader?
I found this is the best way to give back to UT Dallas. I had such a positive experience with the Rhetoric 1101 class that I hope to share that with incoming freshmen.

What advice do you have for freshmen class coming to UT Dallas?
The ultimate college experience depends on you! Stay active in the pursuit of your goals and dreams. Sometimes you will fail, you will be hurt, you will be unhappy, but that is growth. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.

What do you wish you did during your freshmen year that you didn’t?
I wish I had not been so afraid of rejection. I figured out that my classmates were just as scared as I am. Sometimes taking a risk is worth it!

What do you like about UT Dallas?
UT Dallas is not too small or too big. There are a variety of different personalities on campus, yet I found a group of friends that complement me perfectly. Because of the size of UT Dallas, I am responsible for my own future, but I don’t have to do it alone.

Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
Dr. (Michael) Coleman’s funny speeches during the recruitment stage got me interested, but I respected the fact that this University gives scholarships based on merit.

What has been your favorite/best UT Dallas experience so far?
Meeting new people; it never gets old.

What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?
College is more that having fun and making good grades. It is an opportunity for personal growth and discovery. It is a time for developing friendships and expanding the mind.
