List something unique about yourself.
I like exotic shoes with crazy colors and designs, but I don’t have any because they don’t make cool shoes in size 16.
Why did you decide to become a First-Year-Leader?
I realized I wasn’t very active in the UT Dallas community and I wanted to change that. I enjoyed Rhet 1101 as a freshman, and I knew becoming a First-Year-Leader would be a fun and rewarding way to become active.
What advice do you have for the freshman class coming into UT Dallas?
Go to class; it makes college life 10 times easier and it takes less time to do homework, teachers are more lenient, and you learn stuff!
What do you wish you did during your freshman year that you didn’t?
Study in the library. I could have been so much more productive.
What do you like about UT Dallas?
It’s like the hidden diamond of colleges. The campus is nice, comfortable and clean. The school offers an excellent education. The students are intelligent, interesting and fun. And not everyone knows about it!
Why did you decide to attend UT Dallas?
I chose UT Dallas because it was close to home, affordable and offers an excellent education.
What has been your favorite/best UT Dallas experience so far?
Freshman Convocation was a lot of fun.
What did you learn about college life that you didn’t know before?
The partying is intense and sarcasm is frequent.
What do you like to do to unwind after class?
Absolutely nothing. Before college I could never sit still. Now that I have been to college, I realized that just sitting down and doing nothing is very relaxing. Also, it’s good to do after class because you can reflect on what you learned and really let it sink in — something that I think is important to learning for the long term.
