Nine students competed from the University. Student teams consist of three members selected from the group of students who compete from each university. The team placed 28 out of 546 teams at the prestigious event.
“It is the third time in the last four years that our team placed among the top 30 universities in North America, said Dr. Titu Andreescu, associate professor of mathematics education. “Our hard work paid off, and we are very proud of our students’ achievement.” Andreescu coached the UT Dallas Putnam team.
