State Employee Charitable Campaign 2012

Message from President Daniel

October 1, 2012

Dear UT Dallas Family:

In the past five years, UT Dallas faculty and staff have contributed more than $650,000 to the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC). During this period, the average gift has increased from $197 to $318 and the number of leadership donors has doubled from 35 to 70. Leadership donations set a new record last year with $100,952 raised. Thank you for holding up the UT Dallas banner in our community.

Your participation and strong commitment to the charities in our community are greatly appreciated. Our community benefits, directly and indirectly, from the many charities that participate in the SECC. Our very own Callier Center for Communication Disorders and Academic Bridge Program continue to receive the largest portion of donations from UT Dallas faculty and staff. They received a combined $43,372 through last year's campaign.

The 2012 campaign begins on Oct. 1 and will conclude Oct. 31. This year, the campaign is going "green." Gifts will be made online through a designated website for UT Dallas. Please consider making a gift that will help people and improve communities—our own, as well as others—across the country and around the world. Your participation is valued.

Join me and hundreds within our community to give and ensure that we continue the momentum of the past few years. Our goal is at least 600 donors and $160,000 in support. Together, we can make a difference in our community.

David E. Daniel
President
