Call for Volunteers
Message from President Daniel
It is time to prepare for the 2007 State Employee Charitable Campaign. Last year, the University of Texas at Dallas’ faculty and staff set a new record for their support of this important community-wide philanthropic effort, which benefits some of UTD’s programs. I believe that it is important for our contribution to grow as significantly as our position in our community has and continues to grow.
Dedicated volunteers are at the heart of every successful community effort. I am asking you to volunteer to be responsible for the coordination the SECC. It is important that each University office, division and unit be represented by a committed volunteer in this year's campaign.
Jody and Robert Nelsen have agreed to lead the Campaign as Co-chairs and Dena Jackson is supporting them as chair of the Core Committee, which includes David Gleason, Haywood McNeill, Charles Salomon, Kimberly Aaron and Terry Hockenbrough. If you have any questions or are moved to volunteer to assist with SECC, please contact Charles Salomon (Ext. 4131). You can also send an email to secc@utdallas.edu to obtain more information.
I look forward to a successful campaign and hope you will demonstrate your leadership in this effort by our university community.
