State Employee Charitable Campaign 2009

The SECC Advantage

People across the UTD campus choose to give to different organizations and for different reasons. Why do some choose to give through SECC?

The answer is simple. There is no easier way for state employees to give to a charitable cause of their choice. SECC is the smart way to give.

Choice!

No other charitable campaign offers so many choices. There are hundreds of organizations to choose from. You decide which organizations best address your concerns.

Confidence!

All agencies participating in the SECC must meet strict eligibility standards established by state law and are screened by the SECC State Policy Committee. Therefore, you can feel confident that your gift is being used efficiently and effectively by your designated charities.

Convenience!

The convenience of payroll deduction allows you to donate the amount you designate on a monthly basis without the hassle of writing checks or mailing donations. Also, your payroll deductions are calculated on your IRS W2 forms at the end of the year for easy accounting.

Vivian Rutledge, Assistant Manager, Human Resources

"There are many people less fortunate than me. Giving through SECC is an easy, painless way to give to others. I have an affinity to support organizations that target kids: healthcare, after-school activities and more. The first thing I check is how much of the support goes to administrative fees, and focus on those organizations whose fees are lowest. That way, the kids receive most or all of what I give."
