2015 UT Dallas North Texas FTC Regional Qualifier

We are very excited to host our 5th North Texas FTC Regional Qualifier this year! The schedule for the day can be found here, with additional information listed below
A signed Medical, Talent, and Liability Release Form and FIRST Consent Form are required for all participating members, including coaches, mentors, and volunteers who are attending. Forms can be turned in at the registration desk.
Directions & UT Dallas Map
From Central Expressway (US 75)
Take the Campbell Road exit and head west to University Parkway (between Floyd Road and Waterview Parkway). Turn north on University Parkway.
From LBJ Freeway (I-635)
Take the Coit Road exit and drive north to Campbell Road. Turn east on Campbell Road to University Parkway (between Waterview Parkway and Floyd Road). Turn north on University Parkway.
From George Bush Turnpike (SH 190)
Turn south on Independence Parkway to Campbell Road. Turn east on Campbell Road to University Parkway (between Floyd Road and Waterview Parkway). Turn north on University Parkway.
Via Public Transportation
Take DART Light Rail Red Line to the Bush Turnpike Station. Transfer to the UT Dallas Comet Cruiser, Route 883, serving the rail station at 30-minute intervals from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday. Check the schedule for limited Saturday service hours and Friday-only stops at the retail center on Coit Road.
Hardware & Software Inspections
Teams will be given a set time for inspection. It is the team's responsiblity to make sure their team makes it to inspection and that their robot passes inspection before lunch. The checklists for the hardware and software inspections are available in the FTC Cascade Effect Game Manual (Part 1) on pages 39 and 41, respectively.
Food and On-Campus dining
There are various eateries in the Comet Café ( located in the Student Union).
Because of the short amount of time provided for lunch, it is recommended that teams stay on-campus for lunch.
Teams may park in any GOLD or GREEN parking spots. A parking permit will be emailed to teams. Copies will also be available at the registration desk. Lots I, H, or J are recommended.
Can I bring in outside food?
Yes. Addtional seating for lunch is available in the balcony of the gym or the Comet Café which is located in the Student Union.
When should I arrive for registration?
Schedule to arrive at least 15 minutes before registration opens. This allows extra time for parking and/or traffic.
How many teams will be advancing?
8 teams from each qualifier will advance to the Regional Tournament.
How many pit passes will my team receive?
Each team will be given 10 team badges and 2 coach badges.
Will there be practice mats available?
Yes. A practice field will be set up in the pit area.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes. You can access the internet by connecting to UTDGuest.
