Summer Research Opportunities
The Summer Research Program in the Sickle Cell Disease Research Center provides an opportunity to a limited number of students to spend the summer working side-by-side with graduate students and senior scientists in the laboratory of academic faculty in the Departments of Molecular and Cell Biology, Chemistry, Engineering and Computer Science. Candidates will be exposed to an environment devoted to biomedical hands-on research. Students sixteen years of age or older and are currently enrolled in high school, an accredited U.S. college or university are eligible to apply.
Application Process
Applications are accepted from February 1st through March 31st each year. Applications are reviewed by the admissions committee and trainees will be notified by May 1st.
