DFW Mini-CAST

DFW Metroplex Mini-CAST is a mini-conference which takes place during the course of one day in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. It is a one-day version of the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching (CAST) by the Science Teachers Association of Texas, usually in February. Presentations are related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and is attended by science teachers, administrators, supervisors, and vendors.

SME participates heavily with CAST and the local Metroplex Mini-CAST.  Each year we have a vendor booth where alumni stop by and catch up with old friends and faculty. The SME faculty present multiple sessions each year. In addition, members of the TRC are encouraged to present and attend and may receive funding for doing so.

Here are the presentations by UTD SME faculty, staff, alumni and UTD TRC members in 2017 and 2016 as examples.
