Student Organization Spotlight

At designated meetings, four organizations ranging in type will have an opportunity to introduce and present themselves to the SOC community. The spotlight will be placed on them. These organizations will be notified in advance and given a time allotment of 10 minutes.

Some of the topics they can present are:

  • Who are they (a brief description about their mission and objectives)
  • Past events, activities, accomplishments (visuals aids are welcomed)
  • Plans for the current academic year

Although participation is voluntary, organizations are strongly encouraged to take part. Some of the advantages of participation are:

  • Recruitment (introduce organizations to prospective members)
  • Network with other similar type student organizations
  • Collaborate on activities with other student organizations
  • Better exposure of their organization
