Service Projects
Lend a hand and build a home! Since 1986, Habitat for Humanity/Metro Jackson has built 470 homes in the metro Jackson area. Join us as we fulfill Habitat for Humanity's mission to: Revitalize the appearance of neighborhoods, encourage connections within the community and preserve affordable housing stock in low-income neighborhoods.
Volunteers will renovate, repair, and construct new homes for residents in downtown Jackson. Tasks may also include painting and landscaping.
Impact
This year's group assisted with siding, chaulking, painting, shoveling, subflooring, gluing, stapling, and laying a base/foundation for two homes. They also installed cabinets and helped with site clean up.
