Alternative Spring Break

During this weeklong immersion experience, volunteers dedicate their time to rebuild homes, perform outreach, and make a difference to various communities.

Camp Summit Argyle, TX	At-risk youth camp
Participants assisted camp counselors in daily camp activities including sports and arts and crafts.
Cornerstone Dallas Dallas, TX	Socioeconomic revitalization
Participants assisted with programs such as homeless outreach, senior assistance, computer literacy, job training, and neighborhood home repairs.
Dear Neighbor Ministries Wichita, KS	Social services to disadvantaged populations
Participants built wheelchair ramps, delivered Meals on Wheels, and helped with minor repairs and construction.
Habitat for Humanity New Orleans, LA	Hurricane relief
Participants worked with Habitat for Humanity to rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina.
Haven of Hope San Antonio, TX	Homeless outreach
Volunteers assisted this agency with daily programs such as meal preparation and job skills training.
Nehemiah's Vision Vidor, TX	Hurricane relief
Volunteers rebuilt and repaired homes affected by Hurricane Rita.
Oklahoma State Parks Hulbert, OK	Environment restoration
Participants worked alongside park rangers to clean the park environment and assisted in trail development.
Seniors Net Richardson, TX	Home repairs and yard work
Participants assisted the elderly in the Richardson community with home repairs, yard and garden maintenance, and wheelchair ramp construction.
