The Staff Council is an advisory body through which eligible staff members can convey information and make recommendations to the President regarding interests and concerns of the staff of the University.
The Staff Council is constituted by the President under the discretion and authority invested in the President by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, with the goal of continually improving University operations and the well-being of UTD's employees.
The Staff Council is constituted to address matters of general concern to the UTD community and, in particular, to members of the UTD staff and is not intended to supplant existing procedures for addressing individual grievances.

Congratulations to Staff Scholarship Recipients
We would like to congratulate the following recipients of the Staff Council Scholarship for the Fall 2009 semester: Valerie Lariscy, William (Cole) Detwiler, Blair Flicker, Daniel Calhoun, Imperio Shanks, Irene Marroquin-Bellatin, Janet Collins, Narcely Ruiz, and Andrea Moody. This scholarship is geared toward helping our fellow staff members achieve their goals and dreams by furthering their education. We would also like to thank Ms. Kilbourne in the press office for taking pictures of the recipients.
Funds for the scholarships are obtained from the different fundraising events Staff Council holds throughout the year, such as the Valentine Balloon Sale and Jail N’ Bail. Your participation and contribution in these events helps keep the scholarship growing each year. Thank you.
