Katrina Adams:  I am an Instructional Designer for the Office of Educational Enhancement, located in Hoblitzelle Hall. I work closely with faculty to improve  their courses online and to implement technology into their classrooms – whether online or on-campus. I’ve worked for the University of Texas at Dallas since May of 2005, and I understand there are many challenges and issues that affect the campus, and specifically university staff, that the Staff Council can work to address.  The issues I am interested in include equal opportunities for all staff, visible minorities, and better communication between staff and administration.  I am also very interested in and would like to be more involved in the child care initiative for which we’ve seen recent staff council communications.  I’ve worked over thirteen years in the university setting, whether at UTD or at other state institutions, and I’ve quickly come to appreciate the Staff Council’s work here at UTD.  After four years here at the university, I feel it is my turn to give back to the community.
